Established in 1832, we continued trading through two world wars and countless recessions. We were very proud to celebrate our 180th anniversary in 2012.

We are the only stonemasons situated within Margate Cemetery, offering immediate on-site consultation, serving Thanet, Ramsgate, Broadstairs, Herne Bay, Whitstable, Canterbury and all of East Kent.

Over the years we have restored and maintained many important local historical monuments, such as Canterbury Cathedral, Dover Castle, the Spitfire and Surf Boat memorials, local churches, listed buildings and heritage sites.

We have also supplied ceremonial plaques dedicated by the Queen Mother, Prince Phillip, Prince Charles and Dr Carey. Recently we refurbished the Courtauld memorial on behalf of the Courtauld Institute. Other memorials of note include one to Admiral Ramsey, who headed the Dunkirk landings, we also donated a memorial situated in a remembrance garden at Margate Police Station in honour of the late P.C. Jon Odell.

In celebration of the Jubilee Year, we donated a plaque to St. Peter's Church and also a memorial to commemorate those who died as a result of an aircraft crash in St. Peter's village in 1952. We are honoured to have completed a memorial in France with Papal authority.

We are actively involved with the Friends of Margate Cemetery, to whom we give advice and help with the upkeep and maintenance of local cemeteries.

We have retained traditional skills such as hand cutting and carving but also embrace and offer new technology such as computerised layouts and laser engraving.

We are registered, qualified, memorial fixers. Our licence details can be found on, www.nammregister.org.uk, a globally recognised organisation who ensure their members work is of the highest standard, following very strict guidelines. We are also a member of BRAMM.

Maintaining strong local links is important to us and wherever possible we promote local businesses and use their services for printing, computer services, office supplies, materials, advertising etc. In addition we support local schools, including special needs schools, offering work experience and training.
